The Ladies of Boots & Hearts 2015!

Boots & Hearts has a reputation for playing host to some of the biggest hunks in country music so we decided to turn the tables and get to know some of the lovely ladies that will be gracing the stage this year!

 

Maddie & Tae
Madison and Taylor met at age 15. After finishing high school, the two moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to begin their musical career. Their debut single, “Girl in a Country Song” reached number 1 on the Country Airplay chart.

Kira Isabella
Kira Isabella is a Canadian country music artist. Isabella was signed to Sony Music Canada in 2009. Her first single, “Love Me Like That,” was released in 2011 and charted on the Canadian Hot 100.

Lennon & Maisy
Lennon & Maisy are a Canadian music duo composed of sisters Lennon Ray Louise Stella and Maisy Jude Marion Stella best known for their roles as Maddie and Daphne Conrad in the ABC musical drama series Nashville. They were born in Oshawa, Ontario but now reside in Nashville, Tennessee. Lennon & Maisy are the daughters of Brad and Marylynne Stella, who perform together as The Stellas.

MacKenzie Porter
MacKenzie Porter was raised on a cattle and bison ranch near Medicine Hat, Alberta. She began studying piano, violin and voice at age four. Growing up, she toured in a family band with her brother, 2004  Canadian Idol winner Kalan Porter.

Trinity Bradshaw
Trinity Bradshaw is Alberta’s 2014 representative in the CCMA Spotlight contest, and Winner of the 2014 Boots & Hearts Canadian Emerging Artist Showcase.

The Lovelocks
The Lovelocks are a dynamic duo comprised of Ali Raney and Zoe Neuman. Their sound is commonly described as a mixture of The Dixie Chicks go Lumineering with a Mumford & Sons-ian alt-country, roots-inspired approach filled with soaring vocals, sweet harmonies and sultry strings.

Leah Daniels
Leah Daniels is a Canadian country music singer and songwriter. She is an independent recording artist set to release her debut single in February 2012. Her self-titled debut was released in November 2011. She released her first music video titled “Suspicious Minds” on November 2, 2011 on CMT, Canada.

Kaitlin Kozell
Kaitlin Kozell is a passionate Country Music Singer-Songwriter, with a sound born from new and traditional country influences.  There is no denying that the sweet memories of entire afternoon-long singsongs with her Grandmother Yvonne, plays an integral role in the artist she is today and the artist she is developing in to.

Genevieve Fisher
Genevieve always seemed destined to excite audiences from a very young age. Upon winning her first singing competition at the age of two, the announcer prophetically proceeded to tell the audience that they will be hearing from young Genevieve in the future.

Melissa Payne
Melissa Payne understands the finest artistic breakthroughs often occur when the personal flows out of the artist and rings as relatable for the audience.  Such is the power of High and Dry, the second full-length album from the Peterborough, Ontario-based songwriter. Payne’s songs are rooted in honesty and quiet urgency while she and her five-piece band play with passion and graceful restraint that speaks to the ebb-and-flow pacing of life, especially the Millennial-age relationships and struggles that inspired much of her writing on High and Dry.

Kate Suhr
Kate Suhr is a singer, songwriter, actor and vocal coach from Peterborough, Ontario. She is actively involved in community theatre, and can be found singing at local fundraisers and concerts.

Abby Stewart
Abby may be young, but she has accomplished so much in such a short period. From sharing the stage for a duet with Dean Brody, opening for Hunter Hayes on his Canadian tour or completing a set at some of Canada’s biggest music festivals, her star is on the rise.
